Job Description
- Starting at $60,000 - $63,000 (+ bonus potential)

- Individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required
- Located in Bloomfield, Connecticut
- Oversee daily operations in the Quality Control Department for all shifts.
- Supervise warehouse products for quality assurance.
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Correspond with clients via email.
- Enforce plant quality standards.
- Manage and maintain quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components.
- Monitor, enforce, and further develop the plant HACCP program.
- Maintain knowledge of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).
- Ensure proper implementation of all quality assurance programs and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Increase awareness and evaluation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Follow all food safety requirements and GMP standards relevant to the position.
- Ensure safety rules, production goals, and sanitation standards are met.
- Oversee the process of store orders to ensure the highest level of service to customers.
- Assist in maintaining high service quality by enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Assign duties to employees, schedule break periods, work hours, and vacations. Perform periodic evaluations of employees following HR policies.
- Assist warehouse floor supervisors and associates in understanding warehouse policies, departmental procedures, and job duties.
- Address customer concerns/complaints, examine discrepancy reports, and provide resolutions to restore and promote good client relations.
- Promote a positive work environment while fostering teamwork.
- Work closely with staff to ensure quality and productivity requirements are met and communicated to each associate.
- Flexibility to work any shift as needed to support business demands.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Distribution Center or Operations Man
- Strong communication skills and the ability to self-initiate and implement warehouse data entry programs as directed.
- High level of proficiency with computers and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- College-level coursework is preferred but not required; experience in warehouse supervision and wholesale industry is advantageous.
- Some college-level management education and/or at least 2 years of quality assurance or production supervisory experience in the wholesale industry.
- Knowledge and experience with SQF, HACCP, and GMP principles are required; certifications are preferred.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of managing and leading a diverse workforce.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures.
